Discover the latest innovations in technical textiles and nonwovens at Techtextil North America 2026 – Registration is now open!
Techtextil North America has long been the premier platform for the U.S. technical textiles and nonwovens industry, bringing together innovators, manufacturers, and suppliers to explore the latest materials, applications, and technologies. Nonwovens Industry spoke with Techtextil North America Show Manager, Alexis Sivcovich, to learn about what’s in store for attendees in this edition.
Nonwovens Industry: What makes Raleigh the perfect location for Techtextil North America?
Alexis Sivcovich: Raleigh is the heart of the U.S. textile industry! With hundreds of textile manufacturers in the area, and world-class research and innovation of the Wilson College of Textiles, Raleigh is a convenient location for the industry to come together. Because Techtextil North America covers the entire value chain from raw materials to advanced applications, being near this industry-dense region allows companies to easily connect with partners, suppliers, and customers. Techtextil North America 2026 is where to find cutting-edge technology, meaningful connections, and true Southern Hospitality.
NWI: What’s new for the 2026 event?
AS: I’m very excited about our new online event platform and directory! It’s user friendly and has multiple benefits for both attendees and exhibitors. The new show directory is more interactive, making it easier to find exhibitors – search by keywords, exhibitor name and booth numbers, products categories, and more!
Additionally for 2026, we are introducing the Econogy Sustainability Forum, which you have probably seen at other Messe Frankfurt Texpertise Network shows. With dedicated sustainability-focused discussion sessions, and Econogy Tour of exhibitors, the Sustainability Forum will bring together industry experts to talk about environmental and economic sustainability in the industry.
NWI: Nonwovens continue to evolve across multiple industries. What are the biggest trends shaping the sector right now?
AS: We’re currently seeing increasing demand from end-markets like healthcare, infrastructure, military and defense; and within those markets, smart textiles and wearable technologies continue to be one of the fastest-growing areas. Environmental and regulatory pressures continue driving the shift toward more sustainable materials and green manufacturing processes.
On the show floor, attendees can see the latest innovations in sustainable and biodegradable nonwovens, as well as other high-performance nonwovens and technical textiles. Materials engineered for automotive interiors, geotextiles, and industrial applications will also be showcased. NWI: Will there be other opportunities to learn more about the current trends and innovations in the industry?
AS: Yes! Techtextil North America 2026 provides several educational components to complement the show floor experience. While the expo floor provides opportunities to see new materials and technologies firsthand, the Symposium sessions offer deeper insights into the trends, research, and real-world challenges facing the industry.
With Sustainability continuing to be an important driver shaping innovation across technical textiles and nonwovens, and we are introducing the Sustainability Forum to offer insights specifically into how companies and researchers are developing more sustainable materials, processes and supply chains.
Additionally, the show floor will feature Tech Talks, a series of short, focused presentations delivered directly on the exhibition floor. Designed to complement the Symposium sessions, Tech Talks offer attendees with quick insights into emerging technologies, materials, and applications shaping the technical textiles and nonwovens industries.
NWI: Where can attendees register for Techtextil North America 2026?
AS: Registration for Techtextil North America 2026 is now live! Visit the website at www.TechtextilNA.com follow the prompts! Don’t forget to book your hotel rooms after you register!
